چکیده

In 1875 the Göttingen anatomist Wilhelm Krause described what was briefly the most famous but soon became the most notorious human embryo of the last quarter of the nineteenth century. It was presented as deciding a heated controversy over embryology and evolution, but its status was debated in dozens of publications—until in 1882 anatomists finally agreed that it was the embryo, not of a human being at all, but of a bird. I shall reconstruct the remarkable history of Krause’s embryo, but my larger concern is with the enterprise to which it fell victim: the making of modern human embryology. This was the achievement, above Producing Development: The Anatomy of Human Embryos and the Norms of Wilhelm His

Improvement in Development and Quality of 8 Cell Mouse Embryos in Presence of Granulocyte Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor

Purpose: Granulose Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) is a lympho- heamatopoietic actor, secreted in the reproductive system. Murine pre- implantation embryos express GM-CSF receptors. In his study, the capacity of eight cell mouse embryos was studied in the presence and absence of GM-CSF. Materials and Methods: Female NMRI mice were super ovulated using Pregnant Mare Serum gonadotr...

Potential of Mouse and Human Embryonic Fibroblasts to Support Mouse Embryo Development Following Exposure to Laboratory Temperature

Purpose: Present study was designed to evaluate the potential of co-culture systems to overcome deleterious effect of exposure of mouse 2-cell embryos to low temperature. Materials and Methods: 2-cell embryos were flushed from oviduct of super ovulated NMRI mice into HTF medium with 15% BSA. After washing 3 times with HBSS and with 15% BSA, embryos were exposed to laboratory temperature (LT) (...

Oral administration of morphine delays neural plate development in rat embryos

Previous studies have shown that morphine administration could inhibit neural tube development in rat embryos and produce behavioral defects in human and animals. In the present study, the effects of maternal morphine consumption on embryonic neural plate development in Wistar rats were investigated. Methods: Twenty-four female Wistar rats (250-300 g) were crossed with males. After pregnancy...

Effects of Visible Light on the Development of Mouse 2-Cell Embryos

Introduction: Mammalian embryos as well as oocytes are prone to various doses of visible light during manipulations in laboratory. The present study was designed to investigate the effects of visible light on the development of mouse 2- cell embryos. Method: Non-pregnant female NMRI mice were super-ovulated with i.p. injection of 7.5 iu PMSG followed 48 hours later with 10 iu hCG. Forty eight h...

I-13: Transcriptome Dynamics of Human and Mouse Preimplantation Embryos Revealed by Single Cell RNA-Sequencing

Background: Mammalian preimplantation development is a complex process involving dramatic changes in the transcriptional architecture. However, it is still unclear about the crucial transcriptional network and key hub genes that regulate the proceeding of preimplantation embryos. Materials and Methods: Through single-cell RNAsequencing (RNA-seq) of both human and mouse preimplantation embryos, ...
